Issue #3: TikTok, controlling your time and the best tools for your blog posts.
Hi, it’s Ruth Matthews from Medium :)
Welcome to issue 3 of Individual Inspired. I’m so happy to have you here.
This week things have slowed down a little. I’ve been busy with freelance clients but still been writing on Medium when I can.
We’re coming to the end of January, which somehow went fast and slow all at the same time. I plan to do a big review of what I achieved this month and set some February goals.
One thing I really want to do is publish more on Medium. I’m on track to have 15 articles or so published this month. In February, I’d love to shoot for around 20.
I put together a list of handy editing tools for your blog posts that I use for every single post. These are simple, free, and allow you to express yourself clearly and reach the largest possible audience you can. Check out my writer’s toolkit here.
One of the most important things for achieving your goals is time management. We all have the same hours in a day, but few of us have true mastery over our time. I wrote a piece all about how to find more time, which you can check out here.
Finally, I’ve been thinking about creativity on different social media platforms. We really are lucky to live at a time in history when we can express ourselves and reach more people worldwide than ever before.
If you’re not on TikTok, I highly recommend it. Not only is it a fantastic branding strategy, but it’s also just a fun and authentic way to express yourself and create some fun content. I think the world needs more of this right now.
In closing, I’d love to know what you achieved in January. Did you reach your creative goals? Try anything new? You can always reply to this newsletter at any time. I read and reply to everything, so feel free to reach out and connect with me :)
That’s all for this week. Thank you for reading. I appreciate every single one of you <3
